Sync Issue 80070005-508-80070005-560 - Error synchronizing folder

Hello,

various Users in our Exchange Organization experiencing the following error:

10:38:05 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'UserB - Kalender'
10:38:05 Downloading from server 'server'
10:38:05 Error synchronizing folder
10:38:05    [80070005-508-80070005-560]
10:38:05    You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.  See the folder contact or your system administrator.
10:38:05    Microsoft Exchange Information Store
10:38:05    For more information on this failure, click the URL below:
10:38:05    http://www.microsoft.com/support/prodredirect/outlook2000_us.asp?err=80070005-508-80070005-560

I already read the other posts in this forum regarding this error and checked the permissions.

UserA which has opened the shared calendar of UserB has the access rights "AvailabilityOnly". So UserA can open the calendar normaly and see when UserB is Busy, Out of Office and so on (no details).

If i disable the "Download shared folders" setting in "Account Settings -> Choose Exchange Account -> More Settings -> Advanced" the error disappears.

But sometimes the user wants this information be available offline. Is there any other way to fix this issue?

Thanks.

One mailbox to several users

Hi,

I have an Exchange 2010 server infrastructure, and my boss has told me to give a solution to the following:

We have 8 active directory users who doesn't need personal mailbox. Instead, all of them has to share a common departmental mailbox, lets say, sales@domain.com. All of them has to be able to read mails sent to sales@domain.com, and write and send mails from sales@domain.com. But none of them has to have a personal mailbox. And here is where I find the difficulty.

If I create a shared mailbox and give full access permissions to the 8 users, its done, but.. how can I connect this mailbox to user's outlook? As they don't have a personal mailbox, they can't log into exchange. And if I connect directly this shared mailbox, which is associated to a disabled active directory user, I guess credentials will be asked for, and even though I can assign a known password to the account, being disabled I think that will prevent logon.

Which is the best way to solve this scenario?

Thanks.

Outlook Fails after loading Profile from exchange

This question originally was posted under Outlook 2007 but in the process of working the problem I have found it is not just outlook 2007 but 2013 as well.

The original post is located here : https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/24e4104b-4604-40d2-a34b-85c7da6d8bad/outlook-2007-error?forum=officeitprolegacy

The problem is as follows.

I set up a new outlook to an exchange server and the profile syncs just as expected. it downloads all emails, contacts, and calendars. You can even send and receive new emails from it. Once I have closed outlook and try to open it backup I get an error"Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working" and it closes.

In the previous post I have the error in I will go ahead and post them here.

This is not restricted to office 2007 it is 2013 as well. It is also affecting 3 other users. I know it has something to do after I have synced it with exchange but I cannot figure out what.

They can log into OWA just fine and use that there but outlook fails.

I will post the errors in next posts.

Exchange 2010 ECP Error

I just finished an install of Exchange 2010 SP Rollup 2 and migrated from Exchange 2007 to it. I am running into a strange error in the ECP.

This error does not happen with every tab or option in the ECP. Some of the options work fine and some come up with the following error message when you click on them.

Sorry! We're having trouble processing your request right now. Please try again in a few minutes.

I haven't been able to find a solution to the error message.  Any ideas of how to correct it?

Cannot implement Exchange 2003 "send as" functionality in Exchange 2010

It used to be SO easy to assign “send as” permissions for a mailbox in Exchange 2003. Now with Exchange 2010, it seems like you have to be a clairvoyant rocket scientist.

Some background: we recently migrated from 2003 to 2010.  All of the send as permissions seem to have migrated properly – everybody who could send on behalf of a shared mailbox can still send. This despite the fact that there are NO “send as” permissions for the users listed under the security tab for the account under AD Users and Computers, and NO mention of the users under “manage send as permissions” for the mailbox in Exchange.

Now I’m several days into trying to assign a new send as permission for a mailbox. I was naïve enough to think that it would be as straightforward as in 2003 – that you just went into “manage send as permissions” in Exchange and added the user you wanted to give the permission to and that was that. When that didn’t work, I researched and saw that you have to add the user under the security tab of the mailbox owner in AD Users and Computers and assign the “send as” permission. When I did this, the user name appeared under “manage send as permissions” in Exchange, but when I pressed the “manage” button, I got the error message,

Some controls aren’t valid.

-Changes in the user/group list are required to grant or remove permissions.

Classic Microsoft explicitness.  So now with all the time invested, I STILL can’t assign the send as functionality that was a piece of cake in 2003. Nor do I have any idea of what to do if I want to REMOVE any of the current send as permissions. Is there an Exchange guru out there who wants to show off his expertise? I promise to be very impressed if someone can help me successfully implement 2003 functionality in 2010.

Hello All,

Kindly help with Outlook 2010 issues.

We have Exchange 2010 org.

In our team, one of the organizers has setup the meeting and the attendees were able to accept the meeting. The attendees of the meeting has forwarded the same meeting to few others and for some reason the attendees who forwarded the meeting received the meeting cancelled notification. However, the actual organizer hasn't cancelled the meeting. It's still active on the organizers calendar.

Kindly help us understand this situation and resolve this.

Thank You,

Cannot delete Personal Distribution List from Mailbox

$

I have run in to a very frustrating issue with a personal distribution list created by a user that I cannot resolve. I have searched quite a bit and found one thread that matches my issue perfectly but it doesn't appear that a solution was ever found.

Here is the problem: A user created distribution list which contains 110+ e-mail addresses cannot be modified by any user nor can it be deleted even using the mfcmapi utility. The only thing I have been able to do successfully with the list thus far is export it to a pst file. If the list is kept in the pst file it can be accessed and modified. If I attempt to move the list from the pst file back in to the mailbox a duplicate entry appears in the mailbox which is broken in the exact same manner as the original. If anyone has run across this and solved it or can point me in the direction of utilties or commands that might help me further refine the problem i would be very appreciative.

Many thanks in advance.

I am trying to migrate our Exchange system from 2010 to 2013. Both systems have been updated to the latest service packs and updates before I started. I am following the Exchange Server Deployment Assistant but i am now stuck on moving the System Srbitration Mailbox from our 2010 datbase to an Ex2013 datbase.

after a couple of days the migration was still in progress which was odd for such a small mailbox. The EMC shows the move request as 'Suspended' When i try to resume the MoveRequest i recieve the following error:

Hello,

we're running an Exchange 2010 Environment with some Room mailbox resources.

We want to change the calendar permissions for everyone to "Free/Busy time, subject, location" via powershell. Is this possible? The nearest thing we can do is set it to Reviewer (Full Details) but this setting shows to much details.

Best regards and thanks in advance,

Phillip

We are adding a new email domain to our organization, we are going to make this the users primary email address. We want the  users to see their new email address in Outlook, I've had to create a new profile, which uses the new(primary) domain and that shows up. is there any other way to have this happen or would we need to create a new profile for the users?

Thanks

Using resource mailboxes for Meeting Rooms - Where to put room preparation instructions?

$

0

Hello Everybody,

I am trying to get rid of public folders in our Exchange organization. I have nearly conviced all the involved people that resource mailboxes are a better way for handling room bookings then public folder calendars, but there is one question I do not know how to solve:

In our current public folder-based room calendar, the organizer manually creates appointments for her meetings. This way she can edit the appointment details in the public folder to add instructions for the person responsible for preparing the room. Like required catering, special equipment needed, presentation material to be prepared and so on.

With ressource calendars, this possibility is gone: As the meeting details in the room calendar are the same as in the invitation  send to all participants, the organizer can no longer put instruction there. The details are removed by the automatic calendard attendant. We do not want all participants of the meeting to see these instructions. The organizer also cannot directly edit the appointment details in the room calendar, because the appointment is not owned by him but by the resource calendar itself, and for obvious reasons I do not want to give everybody full edit rights on the calendar.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

We have an exchange 2010 environment in a Windows 2008 R2 domain and we would like to create and use a service account for managing a multifunction printer and scanner, mainly for scanning purpose. How do we create a service account preferably without a mailbox for this. Currently a user account (with mailbox) is used and user is to leave the organisation shortly. Appreciate any steps on how to create and configure. Thanks.

Group,

I'm trying to increase the retention days for deleted items on a single mailbox.  I run the command from the Technet site and it returns, "WARNING: The command completed successfully but no settings of '<user name>' have been modified." I verified my account has the correct permissions but it doesn't want to work.  What am I missing?

Thank you,

Adjust delivery settings to connect to a specific gateway

Hi

We are using Exchange server 2010.

Recently we are facing email delivery delay issue while sending emails to one our important vendors domain.

Most of the times emails are getting delayed, the error message received in our Queue Viewer is:

421 4.2.2 Connection Dropped Due to Connection Reset

On contacting with their IT team, they have informed that the issue in connectivity between our email servers and their email gateways.

They have requested me to adjust my delivery settings and to connect to the MX records they have provided.

I am not sure how to do this, when sending emails from our domain to their domain they want me to route emails through their specifically provided public IP (MX Record IP).

Kindly let me know how can I do this.
