Database Copy - Failed and Suspended
I have a database copy showing "failed and suspended" in the status on the secondary (copy) server. Copy queue length shows 784752. I have tried reseeding a few times and the database always seems to copy successfully when the wizard completes, but when I look at the status in the server config, it shows "failed and suspended" every time.
A note: this database is around 250 GB and has to copy over a 6 mb mpls network. So when I reseed it takes days for the full copy to complete. I'm not sure if this is part of the problem or what.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Cannot expand Public Folder / RPC issue
We have this issue weekly or twice a week that users cannot expand public folder then we can simply restart the RPC service on the server that host the public folder database to fix the issue. What causing the RPC to hung?
Our setup.
Mixed mode Exchange 2010 SP3 Rollup 5 and Exchange 2003 SP2

Add-MailboxFolderPermission for every Mailbox
Hello
I tried to add Special Folder Permission to every Mailbox (Calender) in our organization.
get-mailbox mma | Add-MailboxFolderPermission -identity ($_.alias+ ":\Kalender") -AccessRights LimitedDetails -User Default
This command does not work. I get the following error message:
The input object cannot be bound to any parameters for the command either because the command does not take pipeline in
put or the input and its properties do not match any of the parameters that take pipeline input.
The single command works without problem: Add-MailboxFolderPermission -identity mma:\Kalender -AccessRights LimitedDetails -User Default
(where mma stands for the AD User)
What am I doing wrong?

Duplicate mailboxes on exchange server
Possibly due to a move request some time in the past, I have a situation where one user has a mailbox in two different exchange databases. Both have the same mailbox guid, but judging by the size, one is not actually used. I could use remove-mailbox to delete that one, but I am somewhat cautious. I have been looking for a way to export the mailbox from the database that it is not used from - so far, no luck. Any ideas how I could do that?

Delete all emails but not account Exchange 2010

We are migrating from GroupWise to Exchange 2010 using Quest Migrator. We would like to do a practice run to make sure that the day of conversion will go smoothly. However we would like to be able to delete all mail migrated in the practice conversion so we
do not have duplicate emails.
Is there a way to delete all emails on an Exchange 2010 server without deleting user mailboxes?

one user email is not reaching to external domain exchange 2010
Hi,
In our exchange server 2010, only one user emails are not reaching to external domains like yahoo, hotmail, gmail etc but he can receive emails from clients and other domains as well and this problem came couple of days ago. Internal email (send, receive) working fine from him. All other employees emails are working fine without any problem. i checked message delivery restrictions, anti spam filter etc for specific user in exchange but no solution.
Kindly help me if anyone face this type of problem before or have an idea about solution.

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay ##
Hi,
I have 2 sites with Exchange , Site A Proxy all traffic to Site B. I got complaints that Site B Users getting error "550 5.7.1 Unable to relay ##" when send email to external users. I checked on Default Receive Connector on Site A and found following
Authentication Tab : Exchange Server Authentication checked
Permission Tab : Anonymous Users , Exchange Users,Servers Checked
But still Site B User unable to replay , What I did i removed check of "Exchange Server Authentication" and Selected the TLS & Externally Secured , Every thing Worked fine why is that ?

backing up 2010 dag with windows server backup 2008 r2
I currently have a 2 member 2010 dag. Windows Server 2008r2
ServerA - has 8Active DBs.
ServerB - has 8Passive DB copies, and 1 active DB(not replicated to ServerA)
Can i use windows server backup to backup the databases?
if so
1. do i need to run the backup on both dag members or just 1?
2. will this clear the logs on both servers if the backup is done on just the passive node.
3. I read somewhere that i may have to disable VSS?
4. How easy will restores be with windows server backup?

Envelope-from Spam
So I have an issue where e-mails arriving have different information in the 'envelope-from' and 'from' fields. Is there a way to make a custom rule that would check to see if both of these fields matched with REGEX to deliver the message? I'd like to use
DMARC to accomplish this but it seems my cloud based filtering service doesn't do that (Mcafee). There doesnt' seem to be an easy to way to make Exchange 2010 honor DMARC checking either. Any ideas ?

I resolved the SID to the MBX Exchange 2010 SP3 RU11 server. EXCHANGE01
All of these machines are in the same domain.
EXCHANGE01 is a member of the following groups:
Domain Computers
Exchange Install Domain Servers
Exchange Servers
Exchange trusted Subsystem
Organization Management
I searched around on Technet and was unable to find a solution in other threads. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

Backup issues on when backing-up DBs of Exchange server 2010 [DAG member]
Hi, Rhoderick / Andy / All.
Need your assistance on this.
We have an issue when backing up DBs when activated/mounted on specific Exchange server. Backup fails when a DB is activated/mounted to a specific Exchange server. However, when we switchover that DB to another Exchange node, backup works fine for that DB.
This is the error Backup team get when backing-up the DB hosted on the problematic Exchange server:

Discovery search failed
I'm not sure where to go with this one. My administrator account is a member of the Organization Management and Discovery Management roles. Using this account, when I run a Discovery search against another mailbox, it fails with the following error:
An error occurred when searching <MAILBOX>. The message is 'Exchange Web Service call for keywords statistics information failed. Error: Invalid search query syntax or the query contains invalid search properties.'
If I run the Discovery Search against my administrator account, using the exact same criteria and using my administrator account, the search succeeds. Any help is appreciated.

OWA mail
Hope someone can help me.
I'm an admin on Exchange and whenever I send out emails from OWA i get loads of css printed on the recipients mailbox if they are using outlook. Im the only user it does it to and doesn't matter if i connect to another users mailbox and send a mail the results are the same. We have two other exchange admins on site and they arn't affected.
We have compared settings and all are the same. I presume at somepoint in the past I have done something that has changed this.
The recipient does get the email but it comes after the first line of text.

Discoverysearch mailbox
I have Exchange 2010 standalone server with all the roles installed.
Exchange 2013 are 5 nos:3 are Mailbox & 2 are CAS.
I have one Discoverysearchmailbox.How do i know,whether its in 2010 or 2013.
Note:You can’t use the Exchange admin center (EAC) because discovery mailboxes aren’t displayed in the EAC.
If i dont have Discoverysearchmailbox in 2013,then do i need to move from 2010 to the 2013 or i need to create a new discoverysearchmailbox in 2013 exchagne servers.We are going to decommissioning the exchange 2010 server.
As you i mentioned,we have 5 exchange servers in my topology,the ex 2013 servers will have any discoverysearchmailboxes by DEFAULT?
How do i search the discoverysearchmailboxes in ex 2010 and ex 2013 servers by exchange management shell commands?

Am able to find only one Discoverysearchmailbox in the Exchange 2010 server. When i apply the poweshell command to find out the Discoverysearchmailbox in the Ex 2013,it shows only in the Ex 2010. It not showing in the Ex 2013.
So i have only one Discoverysearchmailbox.i.e available in the Ex 2010.
I have migrated all the mailboxes from Ex 2010 to Ex 2013 successfully.We have only Discoverysearchmailbox in the Ex 2010.
So do i need to migrate the Discoverysearchmailbox from Ex 2010 to Ex 2013?
Or do i need to create a New Discoverysearchmailbox in the Ex2013 ?

Bulk Change of Mail User SMTP Address
Got a few hundred “mail users”.
I would like to change their SMTP address in bulk using a PowerShell.
E.g.:
For a test user, under e-mail addresses tab > Address SMTP > I have 2 email addresses:
test@contoso.com is currently set as reply. I would like to change the set as reply to redirecttestto@gmail.com

Active Sync - device cannot be delete
Hi,
On one user I cannot delete one device. This is an old device and has not been used for a long time.
The device is displayed on both EMC (Manage Mobile Phone) and ECP. When I try delete or wipe the device using EMC, I get an error "device cannot be found". The same thing on ECP (I cannot even see device details). I already tried as Administrator an the user to which this device belongs.
I checked list of devices using Get-ActiveSyncDevice shell command and there is no such device, but it is shown as result of Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics shell command.
How to delete the device?

Can seperation be created in a transport rule disclaimer?
Hello. I've created a Transport rule to add a disclaimer to emails. There are two parts to the language. 1. Notice paragraph 2. Disclosure paragraph. I was hoping to create separation between the two paragraphs but so far not able to.

MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make connection to the server.
Hi all,
I'm seeing these errors in the RPC Client Access logs:
RopHandler: Logon: [RopExecutionException] Mailbox is temporarily unavailable. Error code = MdbOffline -> [ConnectionFailedTransientException] Cannot open mailbox /O=#/OU=#/cn=Recipients/cn=L#. -> [MapiExceptionNetworkError] MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make connection to the server. (hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227)
There are two virtual CAS / HT servers behind a load balancer and two physical mailbox database servers. All running Exchange 2010 SP3 UR8v2 on Server 2008 R2.
It only lasts for 1 second on both the CAS servers at the same time. This has happened several times in the last month. It causes the user to see "Need Password" in Outlook.
Any ideas on RCA and resolution?
