Exchange 2010, SP2 on Server 2008 R2.This is our first Exchange system, not migrated from a previous version.
Recently moved all mailboxes from one large DB to 10 smaller DBs. The large DB is dismounted.
Since the move, attempting a Discovery via ECP displays error message "A transient internal error has occurred..."
Via EMC, Discovery Search Mailbox is shown to be in one of new databases. However, using the commanddisable-mailbox -arbitration -Identity "SystemMailbox{e0dc1c29-89c3-4034-b678-e6c29d823ed9}" displays message indicating it is still associated with the old, large DB.
Created a new Dsicovery mailbox using New-Mailbox SearchResults -Discovery -UserPrincipalNameSearchResults@oourcomapny.com.
Now, a new Discovery displays the error message indicating the discovery mailbox can't be found.
I assume this is because the original one is on the dismounted database. How should I proceed?
